Silver.

April 28, 2012

My grandmother has always told me that I have an addictive personality. I like to use the euphemism “enthusiastic” when it comes to things I like.

It became clear to me today as I was taking inventory of some photos I have snapped over the last couple of days that my current addiction is silver. All things silver.

Since I am taking the day off of my projects (again, euphemism for “arts and crafts), I thought I would share some of the fun silvery things I have gotten into lately.

These are my new favorite shoes that I bought from Zara for a fancy event that I had to go to. What I love about them is that they can also be worn on a Wednesday afternoon trip to grocery store : )

This isn’t a new silver item, but one that I have been wearing a lot recently. This is a necklace made by Canadian-based jewelry designer Pyrrha. This is their signature piece, a silver pendant made from an old wax letter seal. My mom gave this to me a few years ago on my 25th birthday. Love.

I guess you could call this DIY… a little at-home manicure last night made for some awesome robot fingernails! I am hooked!

I purchased this mirror from Target on Friday. It matches my white and silver thing I have going on in our bedroom. And who doesn’t love to see themselves first thing in the morning?!

Have a great Saturday and check back in a couple of days…more projects are in the works!

Your nephew really likes your fingernails. He had me scroll back up to see them again. I said they were Aunt Katy’s fingernails. He asked, “Why?” which is his followup to everything nowadays. I asked him if he liked them and he shook his head with a big smile on his face.

Hahaha! That’s too funny. And we all know the grin says it all 😉

It’s actually Sally Hansen (Hensen?) Hard as Nails. It was like $3 at target but that stuff does not come off!! It’s great! I think Essie has a similar color but they are more expensive.
