The “No-Sweat” shirt.

May 9, 2012

Growing up in Texas, I have cut the sleeves off of many-a-shirt. It’s an easy way to segue into summer while still utilizing those cheap thrift store finds from winter.

I have a few projects going on all at once, so I took a break today to alter a comfy sweatshirt I bought for $3, just in time for the summer heatwave.

Here is what it looked like before. You can find sweatshirts like these virtually anywhere. I like a boxy cut, although a lot of (petite) ladies like a more tapered look. Either way.

Alls I did was cut the sleeves off, like this:

See? See me using my big girl scissors?!

Aaaaaaand boom! There ya go. Instant summer shirt and instant gratification.

And if you want to take it one step further, add a few details. They are cheap, and easy, just like I like it.

So fun! I already have an outfit planned out.

I will touch base tomorrow with more on the toilet paper situation. You thought I forgot?? NEVER.

More later,
