Hey guys! I am back from a month long hiatus after a revolving door of visitors here in Tulsa. The month of June has been amazing, and I am on a bit of a hangover from all the fun. I had every intention of spending some time catching up on The Clever Bunny, but I fell asleep last night at 8:30 pm and woke up this morning at 6! Guess I needed it…My friends surprised me with all kinds of awesome birthday gifts – Grace gave me a Nespresso milk steam and froth maker. If you don’t know what Nespresso is, then you aren’t living. It’s only my life source in the morning, making the perfect espresso with the perfect crema. Now, I can make lattes and cappuccinos. SA-WEET! Also, my friend Lindsey got me an AMAZING collection of bitters by Fee Brothers. So yummy. My friends really get me, which is kind of awesome.
Needless to say, SO MANY THINGS have happened over the last month, one of them being I finally got a new camera! With the help of birthday money from friends and family, I was able to purchase a Nikon D300 and a lens:
I am SO IN LOVE with this camera. I’ve been playing with my new toy since Wednesday. Here are some test shots:
Ha! The ole stink eye 😉 This photo makes me look a little dehydrated.
So I’m back to work. Here is a sneak preview of a project I’m working on:
I found this incredibly soft buckskin leather at a Native American gift shop here in Tulsa. I’m thinking fun wrap-around bracelets. Can’t wait 🙂
I love using bright colored string for projects.
I am loving this teal color.
Can’t wait to see how these turn out. Stay tuned!
