I will be launching my photography website soon, and I have to confess: I am a little more than terrified. I can remember reading about several artists or actors who complete a painting or a film, and then never look at them again or watch the movie. This used to blow my mind, that is until I put myself in the same spectrum. While I obsess over every detail of a photograph, how it is framed, the colors, the light, how out of focus or blemished something appears to be, there comes a point when I just don’t want to look at it anymore. Not because the subject is ugly, or even that the photo is that bad. More because it is a part of myself on paper, an exposed and vulnerable part that says “This is what I see. Do you like it?”. It’s hard not to get sentimental in matters of art. And the scariest part is sharing it. With everyone.
Still, I am excited to share what I have accomplished so far! Obviously, you see a lot of the photos I take on The Clever Bunny, but I also have another side to what I do. I love portraiture and food photography. In the past year, however, I have added sports, scenic, infant and corporate photography to my repertoire. Next, I want to try my hand at architectural photography. Tulsa is a great place to start, I think, with all of the incredible Art Deco buildings we have here.
Here is a sneak peak of some of the shots that will be on my new website!
On The Bunny, I have a very exciting guest blogger who will be gracing us with her presence. Soon! Until then, I am working, as usual, on finishing up a few fun things around my home to share with you.
What is your favorite style of photography? I would love to hear from you!
