Thinking in Green.

September 4, 2013

image image image imageApparently, it’s all about the green lately. Perhaps it’s my way of saying goodbye to summer? Or an extension of a long love affair with my favorite color? Either way, this color has popped up in several of my iPhone photos over the weekend.

1// We got a Bountiful Basket again, and now we have an overload of greens – kale, spinach, broccoli. So I have been Vitamix-ing up a storm the last 4 days. I loved the color of this kale/banana/spinach/strawberry/almond milk smoothie.
2// A delicious afternoon snack – wheat toast/cream cheese/arugula. It’s a new staple.
3// An amazing gift from a really wonderful friend, The Drunken Botanist has some amazing cocktail recipes using plants. I can’t wait to use this!
4// I am trying to learn to be a better plant momma, treating each plant as a different individual instead of watering them all on the same day. It increases the amount of work, but it also renders beautiful plants like this one.

What is your favorite color?

What a beautiful sequence of photos! I’m so jealous that you have a Vitamix, I have lived with terrible blenders for years, my current one can’t even crush ice/make a smoothie. You’d think I’d learn better and finally save up for something decent. What is the plant with that pretty leaf in the last image?

I found your blog via Mocca & Me and I’ve spent the last hour and a half trawling through your archives. Your aesthetic is very different to mine (our differences should be celebrated, no?) but I love your home and your projects and the softness of your photography, I kind of just want to get lost in it 🙂 Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you have a new follower from the UK on Bloglovin’ and Instagram and to say thanks for having such a lovely blog! xxx

Kimberly thank you SO MUCH for your sweet words! It made my day, really! I love your aesthetic so much – and your blog is wonderful =) It’s so nice to hear such nice compliments – it gives me the encouragement I sometimes need to keep this blog going, especially on days when i am feeling less inspired. I will be sure to follow your blog from here on! Thanks again and can’t wait to see more of the amazing things you do =)
