Guess what…

image…and we are SO. EXCITED! We had our 20 week ultrasound, otherwise known as the anatomy scan, about 3 weeks ago, a couple of weeks before Christmas. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know this news, and you were able to see one of the many adorable u/s photos we received.

The doctor said that our boy is growing fast – in the 79th percentile! Which is no surprise – Connor and I are both pretty tall people, and I was almost 9 lbs when I was born.

For Christmas, we went to Houston this year, and Baby Cartland cleaned house! We got a few items from our registry, TONS of adorable clothes and blankets, as well as a very special book from my Grandmother:

I had so much fun folding them when I got home and unpacked. I kept imagining him in each outfit, how his little round belly would fill out the middle of each onesie, and how his sweet little chubby legs would hang out the bottom. I. CANNOT. WAIT. My mom gave us a few clothing items that my brother and I wore as babies – Oshkosh B’Gosh overalls, my brother’s Superman Cape. And the above pictured Winnie the Pooh color blocked t-shirt. A family friend gave us these adorable football socks (complete with a matching outfit), and my sister in law picked out these perfect onesies from Target. All of the clothes were so sweet – I can’t wait to put each outfit on him!

We are at about 22 weeks now! We are more than halfway through our pregnancy, and I can feel our baby boy in there dancing away. His kicks are getting stronger, so we are hoping Connor will feel them soon.

Oh, and, Happy New Year! I almost forgot! 2014 will hold the birth of my son and the 30 year mark of my birth! It’s going to be a good one!
