Okay so I may have been a little over ambitious when I said that I would be back in a couple of days with a new DIY. Turns out being a new mom, while wonderful and amazing, is also very time consuming, and every spare minute I have when Colin is not awake is devoted to laundry, showering or sleeping. I’ve been having such a great time getting to know my new baby that I have lost sight of my interests a little. I think it is normal for new parents to do that at first, but I want to make it a priority to maintain myself and interests, even if only a little right now. So, here is my first DIY postpartum. It’s really simple, but I like to think of it as a baby step back into my blogging routine. Pun intended. (Sorry).
This project is the result of extra materials lying around. I had yet another major closet purge moment and ran across this copper wire I never used and these glass bottles I bought for a $1 each from the craft store.
My grandmother has a collection of old vintage bottles like these – I bet a mix and match would work, too! Grab whatever kind of bottle you can find, some thin, malleable wire and a pair of pliers and you are ready to go.
I really want to make a few strands of these to hand outside in my future dream backyard next to the huge farm table and strung up lights I have already picked out.
Consider this DIY a gesture of good faith. I will be back with more soon!
